Samsung Boost Phone Galaxy S22 Review

Pros

  • Pleasantly small and well constructed
  • Beautiful OLED display that lays flat
  • Best upgrade policy in the industry for the Android operating system
  • Reputable cameras
  • Functional Fluency

Cons

  • A miniature battery that discharges rapidly
  • Increases in charging times are urgently needed
  • Ultrawide cameras produce a peculiar distortion effect
  • Gets quite heated very fast while working hard

Battery and Charging

But, the Galaxy S22’s battery life is steadily declining. Its battery capacity is 3,700mAh, down 300mAh from the Galaxy S21. Besides Apple’s iPhone mini-series, it is one of the tiniest batteries in a cutting-edge smartphone released after 2021. And there is a noticeable improvement in practicality. Verizone Samsung phones also come with new and helpful updates.

If you use your phone less intensively and have made it a practice to charge it regularly, the Galaxy S22 may not cause you any concern.

Not only is there no charger included, but charging needs to be included in the manual. The maximum speed at which the phone charges via cable is 25 watts, and this charger is sold separately by Samsung. Once again, there are better options than this since its rivals have already reached 120W at a lower price. You can acquire a free 25W charger from your wireless provider or favorite store. Software

We used a Galaxy S22 running One UI 4.1 on top of Android 12 with the May security patch for this evaluation. While the design is not new, including Android 12’s Material You theming is a welcome update. As you change your wallpaper, native UI components like the icons in the notification shade and others will change color to complement the new theme, complete with smooth transparency effects.

In contrast, the experience is polished to a high degree, and several useful tools are absent in the base Android install. There were a few functional changes in One UI 4.1, but adding features like Smart Calendar is welcome.

Moreover, Samsung Pay has been improved by allowing users to save other forms of identification, including driver’s licenses (availability may vary), vehicle keys, and cinema tickets. An additional option for “extra brightness” allows users to increase the brightness if they find it insufficient. But you need to turn off the automatic brightness control for this to function. The ability to stack widgets is another recent addition that helps better use limited-screen real estate without sacrificing functionality.

Performance

The Galaxy S22 is available with either an in-house Exynos 2200 CPU or the brand-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 system on a chip. While we tested the Qualcomm model, the performance of both models was unmatched.

The phone easily handled all of the challenges I presented it with. I played some of the most graphically intensive games with the phone’s settings at their highest, and it had no trouble keeping up. The SoC performs its function as effectively as expected from flagship hardware. Still, the Galaxy S22’s small size also means space is incredibly limited under the hood, which hurts thermal performance. The CPU does its job well, but its heat slows it down.

Camera

The Galaxy S22 has an improved primary camera with 50 megapixels, a secondary ultrawide with twelve megapixels, and a telephoto cam has ten megapixels and 3x optical zoom. The primary camera you can use for taking excellent selfies. These cameras are excellent.

Images captured by the primary camera are vivid and clear, with deep blacks and bright whites. There may be an enhanced reduction in the “Signature Samsung Saturation,” suggesting that Samsung may have changed the color chemistry for this year. When compared to the iPhone, the Samsung Galaxy Z fold 4 has superior photography. As opposed to the oversaturated jumble of prior Samsung phones, the colors of the Galaxy S8 are far closer to the actual colors of an item. Both surface details and subject isolation are excellent.

How To Hard Reset Samsung Boost Phones

  • Go to the Preferences menu.
  • Select Settings, then Reset, and finally General.
  • Choose the Reset to Factory Settings option.
  • Choose “Erase everything” from the menu.

Conclusion

As far as Samsung boost phones go, the Galaxy S22 is up there. Besides some drawbacks, it has all the standard features of an Android flagship device. The Galaxy S22 is a great Android phone for the money because of its fast CPU, outstanding build quality, comfortable design, and regular software updates.
