Will Apple Introduce Upgraded iPhone 7 or iPhone 8 in 2017?

Upgraded iPhone 7 or iPhone 8 in 2017

Apple seems to have big plans for 2017, as speculations about upgraded iPhone models give us strong hints of new designs and revolutionary new technology. However, recent revelation of Mac Otakara forces us to think otherwise. Before we move forward what the Japanese blog says, the question arises, how credible this information is? Well, Mac Otakara has a reputation of leaking true information, so let’s assume they are right about this, as they were right about the removal of headphone jack from the iPhone 7.

The blog reveals Apple won’t be introducing iPhone 8 next year rather it will reveal three iPhone models namely iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus and a 5-inch variant supposedly code named ‘Ferrari’ featuring border less OLED display, invisible home button, a glass sandwich design, wireless charging and more. Additionally, we also have reports that the high-end version would boast a curved screen. All these are just assumptions; the high-end version might be just an extension of the lineup with no radical changes.

Talking about the design, the new iPhone models might have the same design as the current iPhone 7, however you would notice some changes including a dual-lens camera that has iSight module arranged vertically, instead of horizontally, as you can see in the iPhone 7 Plus. The Japanese blog also says these specs are not final yet; Apple will confirm these in the second quarter of Apple’s 2017 fiscal year in April.

If you have been following Apple news stories, you might know that 5-inch iPhone launch is not a new rumor. 9to5Mac reported it back in October along with the revelation that next iPhones would feature all-glass backs and at least one might be as big as 5.8 inch long. Moreover, we heard that the new iPhones will boast a bezel-less design, possibility of which cannot be denied.

After all these speculations, you can see nothing is certain as of yet. However, Apple certainly has something new in store for 2017 and is looking for a bigger phone to rival leading Android phones. Would that contain wireless charging, borderless OLED display, curved screen etc, is still a mystery.

We are aware Apple has knack of wrapping things deep, therefore, we would only know specifics closer to release or when the iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus and high-end variant (or iPhone 8) is actually introduced. It is highly likely to see a triple play providing consumers the option of 3 premium phones to support the slowing sales and bump the profit margins.
Would you be interested in just a 5-inch iPhone with no extraordinary features or you definitely look to see a new design with high-tech features in the shape of iPhone 8? Please share with us in the comments.
