Apple iOS and iPad

Apple iOS and iPad

This week, Apple began seeding public beta testers with the second betas of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16, allowing anybody to participate in the iOS 16 beta testing process. The second public beta has now been out for a little over two weeks, and today’s test is the fourth for developers.

After installing the required certificate from the public beta website, those who have joined Apple’s free beta testing program may download the second betas of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 over the air. Check out our list of new features and updates in iOS 16’s second public beta.

The iMessage undo send capabilities, better Lock screen notification settings, new home app, CarPlay backgrounds, and more are all included in this release. Those interested in testing out Apple’s Live Activities can access an ActivityKit beta.

Apple Activities

Customizable backgrounds, clocks, and widgets are now available on the Lock Screen in iOS 16, along with alerts that flow in from the bottom of the screen. It is possible to connect focus modes with several Lock Screens.

Editing, deleting, and marking messages as unread are all possible in the messages app. People sharing material using Share Play may now utilize messages instead of FaceTime to communicate with each other. The new medications feature in the Health app lets you keep track of the vitamins and medicines you’re taking, even if you’re not using FaceTime.
Passkeys, Apple’s new password replacement, and shared tab groups in Safari make it easier than ever to work together on projects.

Multitasking Apps

Multi-stop routing is supported by the Maps app and the Mail app, which allows you to plan, cancel, and get follow-up reminders for emails. With Apple pay later and iCloud shared photo library, customers can easily share photographs with family members and pay for Apple Pay transactions without incurring fees. A weather app and a new multitasking system called “Stage Manager” are included in iPadOS 16 for iPads using Apple silicon processors. However, they are exclusively available for such devices.
